こんにちは!!
This week we have examination week (well, it's only four days - Tuesday - Friday), they have four of those a year, so I'm not really doing much. So Monday was a normal day, the rest of the week (besides Friday) I only have 3 hours a day - which is nice. Today I talked with Sr. Ide, one of the teachers, and Carris, a girl from Singapore who is staying at the school for two weeks, it was quite nice - got some good Japanese studying out of it, because Carris really is amazing at Japanese. After that Carris and I watched half of the Japanese movie "ラブ コン" which in English, should be "Lovely Complex." It's really funny, so I can't wait to see the rest of it one of the other days. After that, I took the exam for my English Writing class (the only exam I have to take) which was in complete English and therefore not hard for me at all. I will be going to Maruyama Zoo with Carris and Sr. Ide tomorrow, for there honestly isn't really any reason for us to be at the school anyway haha. We do have to come for the short homeroom lessons though, but at least we don't have to wear our school uniforms, which is super nice for a change. Even though, you kind of get used to not having to choose clothes every morning. There is rules for what we can wear though, we can't be too fancy or sexy and so on. I don't really mind that, the only thing I mind is, we HAVE to have jeans on, not shorts - and it's really hot outside, so that isn't really my thing. I mean, we have over 20 degrees everyday from a blue sky - that is weather for shorts, when you are me! Thursday, I have some self study, where I'll probably watch the rest of the movie with Carris and then someone will come and teach us how to wear a yukata & we will take pictures of that and so on. I don't know if I already wrote this, but my teacher gave me a yukata, for free!! If you don't know what it is, you should google it, but shortly descriped is it like a kimono, only lighter and less, well, formal. I really look forward to this!! Afterwards I have some more self study, what I'm going to do there, I have no clue, but I'll find out haha. Friday is the only day where I don't have 3 hours, because Carris, the juniour high 3rd years and I are going to an Ainu museum outside of Sapporo and we therefore come back around four. After that, I will go straight to Nakajima Koen for a festival that will be held there & there should be a ghost house, so I can't wait haha.
Monday in last week we switched to summer uniform, I don't know if I said that already, because, well, all the things with Ryou happened last week (no news there by the way, because of the exam week) kind of distracted me.
I went to this festival called YOSAKOI Saturday, it was so much fun! I had no idea how big the difference of festivals are from country to country, well, from Denmark to Japan - and I can honestly say that I love the Japanese festivals so much more than the Danish one. Not that it surprised myself, because I've found out that I basically love everything about Japan, I love everything more and more with the days that passes, so by the time I have to leave, I am sure I don't want to. Anyway, YOSAKOI had a lot of parades, they were all amazing and it was kind of a competition, I have no idea who one yet - I didn't have time to the whole thing on TV (the finals, that is, I saw the rest in person) so I don't know who won yet. It was super fun, I loved every second of it and I kind of filmed most of it!
I put them all on here from my YouTube channel (which I only started using for, well, putting up videos) today; YouTube I will put the videos from the ninja village upon the YouTube channel as well, so please keep an eye out for it, if you like watching videos of ninjas fighting and stuff like that. I honestly find it very interesting and funny haha.
I say things in Japanese and things like "I love British accent" in the videos, but ignore it - the English is mostly unrelated to the videos haha.
After the festival we went to eat at this restaurant in Sapporo, the name is "果実倶楽部818" (kajitsu kurabu 818) which means something like "Fruits Club 818." Everything was super delicious and I will definitely recommend it to everyone and definitely come back again myself. Everything is not fruit and vegetables, but they were included it every dish obivously. It was all really delicious and all drinks were free, that is indeed important! Especially because the drinks are all smoothies/juice and like 80% fruits, which is really the most delicious I ever had. I strongly recommend "Ichigo Miruku" - "Strawberry Milk" to anyone. Anyway, if you want to check it out look here; http://www.facebook.com/818kajitsuclub
I went to Yosakoi once more with Michelle on Sunday, we didn't film and stuff like that, we just ran around and did kind of whatever we felt like doing, which was fun. After that we went shopping and we both bought this SUPER cute dress!! I don't have a picture of it while it's on, so for now, you'll just get a picture of it hanging - where it doesn't look half as cute as when it's on. It's my first summer dress, so I am super happy haha.
After that I went home and we ate Jingiskan, which I got the first day I was here and haven't eaten since, because Por-chan didn't eat meat. I was so looking forward to it and it was SO nice to eat it again, even though I miss Por-chan, I also missed Jingiskan very much! The fun thing was that the waiters remembered me and asked why we haven't been back in a little over two months haha. I'm SO coming back there again!
Well, that is all for now! I hope you're all well - I know I am.
Take care!!
