!!! WARNING: Picture Stream !!!
So today was really nice, three hours in zoo and then off from school. It was really nice, there was a lot of animals, but the zoo wasn't really that big - nothing compared to Copenhagen zoo - so we kind of saw everything before the three hours were gone, luckily there was also kind of like a museum in the zoo, with animal skeletons and such - so we saw that as well and then of course went to the souvenir shop, where I bought this little flying squirrel phonestrap, which is made out of tree - it's super cute!
(There is kind of a story of the rest of my day, under all the photos - just so you know)
I went to the zoo with Sr. Ide and Carris, from Singapore. She is really sweet - we talked a lot and learned a lot things about each others countries and stuff like that. It was much fun! We looked at the animals, took pictures & videos while we commented on things like how beautiful the car animals bodies is and such. We are actually quite similair - so that's nice.
I really loved the kangaroos and they seemed to like me too haha, at least they came over and said hey to me and my iPhone. So that was nice.
There was also this weird turtle with a really long neck, it's really the first time I've ever seen that in my life - it was so cute and dinosaur-ish haha. That wasn't the only thing I saw for the first time though, they had eagles as well - which was really amazing to see in real life, even though it was in a cage.
So yea, the zoo was a lot of fun. After the zoo I went home and ate, after that I went to Odori to go shopping with Michelle - once again. It was really funny - as always. We were looking for the PERFECT shoes for her (which we unfortunately didn't find, even though she tried on A LOT of shoes haha.) So we were just taking a pause from shopping, sitting on a bench eating some crepes in Tanuki Koji, when we see these guys looking at us. Michelle and I, as the boy-hungry girls we are, just sat there and looked at them, hoping for them to come and talk to us. There were four boys, but they had two girls with them. Two of the boys were just sitting on the ground, the other two was standing and talking to the girls. It really looked like they were trying to get the girls to go or something, but what do I know, all I know is that both the girls and boys (mostly the boys) kept glancing our way - and the girls did NOT look happy. We finished our crepes and nothing really happened, so we just sat there talking and such when they guys and girls came over and sat on the other benches just around ours - we couldn't help, but laugh a little, because it was kind of weird. Some time passed and the boys didn't really do anything, but look at us and talk to the girls etc. so we dropped the idea and continued our search for the perfect shoes. (We did purikura this day, of course - as always haha.) Well, when we were going home we go down to the station, guess who we see? Three of the guys and the two girls standing there talking - really, what are the odds? - so we just looked at each other and laughed while saying our goodbyes. So that was really funny, but then when I was walking out of the train toward the bus at Sumikawa station this man comes up to me and says "Hi" all I do is just bow my head a little while giving him a puzzled look - I was listening to music as well, so if that was all he wanted to do (There's this other guy who says hello to me all the time and then walk away and comes up to me, introduces his girlfriend and then walk away again - a weird foreign guy) well, then I didn't really care to take my headphones out. But then he asked "Do you speak Japanese?" in English - which was nice, everybody always ask in Japanese haha - and I just waved my hand a little to say a little. He then gave me this piece of paper and told me that his number and e-mail is written on it - all I could do at that moment was to think, that is so weird that he does it the (almost) exact way as I did when I gave mine to Ryou (besides the fact that I didn't say anything to him) so I just said thank you and pulled my best smile. He kept asking me questions, which I answered - they weren't really annoying questions and he seemed like a friendly person. So he actually walked me all the way down to the bus and waited with me for the bus to come - which was fine, then I had some company. When my bus finally came he said bye and please call me.
So well, I decided to write him a message, turns out he is 23 years old and his name is Hiroki. He isn't my type at all, but I figured, I might just as well get some friends while I'm here - and I know how it feels to give your number to someone, it's painful waiting not knowing if they will write. So yea, that was kind of my day - not too bad right? Finally a Japanese who actually took the first step and talked to me haha.
That is all for now! Thanks for reading, even though it might be kind of boring at times.
Take care!!!!
